Frederickson is underrated, change my mind

Poverty rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $107,241, which feels pretty solid for the area. You can expect to pay around $2,429 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from San Francisco about 5 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'm a physical therapist and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Portland about 5 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are affordable, gas is solid.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
