Best kept secrets of Freehold, NJ

Random thought, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -Freehold sits at 232.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. Household incomes average around $82,183 in Freehold. Rent is about $1,818/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Active local events and festivals
- The food scene scene is solid

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
