Is public transit usable in Freehold?

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 6 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Seattle about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
