Poverty rate is 13.2%, which is around average. Am I wrong here?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Cedar Grove. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The nightlife is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
