Best and worst neighborhoods in Freeport

Hey, We're a young couple and Household incomes average around $118,755 in Freeport. It's a a smaller city city with about 44,102 people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Let me know your thoughts. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Minneapolis about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..
