Should I move to Freeport or stay in Kansas City?

First post here. I'm retired and Household incomes average around $118,755 in Freeport. Poverty rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $479,700 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Am I wrong here? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
