Moving to Freeport for work -advice?
Hello, My family moved here when I was a kid. Crime rate is something to consider -Freeport sits at 56.4 per 100K. Poverty rate is 23.8%, which is higher than I expected. You can expect to pay around $739 for rent here. Rent is about $739/month for a decent place. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What do you all think? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.
