Curious what people think. Average temperature is around 58°F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $176,350 in Fremont. Crime rate is something to consider — Fremont sits at 166.1 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. What do you all think? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The housing market is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.
I've been here 11 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is tough.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Riverside area are tough. Kids love it here.
