I'm a 22-year-old nurse and Average temperature is around 58°F, so the weather is moderate. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Let me know your thoughts. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Miami about 2 years ago. The main reasons were school and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Diverse dining options
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is tough.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much manageable but now it's hit or miss.
