Pros and cons of Fresno after 14 years
OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $66,804 in Fresno. Average temperature is around 64°F, so the weather is moderate. Homes are going for about $348,500 on average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
Pros:
- Great weather
- Nice parks and trails
- Close to nature
- Good airport connections
Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Rising rent prices
- Not very walkable
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Boring for young people
Thanks in advance! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.
