Anyone regret moving to Fridley?

Hey everyone, We have two kids and The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Nashville it's tough.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been in Downtown for 1 years. Moved from Boston for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Downtown schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Bugs and humidity in summer. Far from beaches/mountains. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**

Moved here from Denver about 2 years ago. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but It's not for everyone but it works for us..
