Moving to Frisco for work — advice?

First post here. Median household income is $146,158, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. With a population of 210K, Frisco is a mid-size city. You can expect to pay around $1,902 for rent here. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Anyone in a similar situation? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Lakewood area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 6 years. Moved from Baltimore for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is average. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
government is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is solid - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Limited entertainment options. And nightlife can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 9/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
