Anyone else feel this way? Average temperature is around 68°F, so the weather is moderate. Median household income is $146,158, which feels pretty solid for the area. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What are your go-to spots?

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The pet-friendliness is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value traffic, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Oak Park) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Dating scene is rough.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely excellent and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.
