Quick question about Frisco

Longtime lurker here, Household incomes average around $146,158 in Frisco. Crime rate is something to consider — Frisco sits at 80.2 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What do you all think? Appreciate any input. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 1 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Fairview. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Highland for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- The healthcare scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The walkability is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Pine Hills. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in construction. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
