Best companies to work for in Fruit Cove?

Hey, I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $451,600, which is pretty steep. Average temperature is around 71--F, so it's warm year-round. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Bought a house here in 2017 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Minneapolis about 10 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Definitely worth checking out..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Came here for retirement and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The weather is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely pretty good and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Old Town) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Charlotte it's hit or miss.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a lawyer, 44, moved here 5 years ago from Seattle. I've lived in Springfield and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The food scene situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Springfield: Great for remote workers. solid vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Seattle, everything felt solid. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is growing. You can live comfortably on $90K-$90K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want food scene, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
