How is Fruit Cove for outdoor activities?

It's a a smaller city city with about 35,609 people. Household incomes average around $137,906 in Fruit Cove. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 8 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Bought a house here in 2015 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Houston about 11 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is decent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..
