Things that make Fruit Cove unique

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a 30-year-old software engineer and Homes are going for about $451,600 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Fruit Cove sits at 604.3 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $137,906 in Fruit Cove. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. What would you do? The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The dating scene is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 14 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.
