Housing in Fuller Heights compared to Boston

OK so Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $262,000, which seems about average. You can expect to pay around $1,416 for rent here. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. Household incomes average around $80,021 in Fuller Heights. Median household income is $80,021, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Friendly people
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Limited nightlife
- Not very walkable
- Lack of diversity
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
Any advice would be great. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely underrated and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Riverside) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.
