Quick question about Fullerton

I grew up here but left for a while. Homes are going for about $859,600 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Worth the trade-offs? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is solid.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
