Best restaurants in Fultondale?

Hey everyone, You can expect to pay around $1,214 for rent here. Am I overthinking this? The suburbs are where most families end up.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Maple Ridge area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Raleigh about 14 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is tough.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in legal. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.
