Cheapest neighborhoods in Gadsden?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $101,900 on average. Household incomes average around $38,699 in Gadsden. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Any advice would be great. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in consulting. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
