Anyone else feel this way? I'm a 24-year-old contractor and Rent is about $787/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 21.5%, which is higher than I expected. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
