Alright, Born and raised here. Median household income is $54,464, which feels on the lower side for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Greenfield. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.
