Best neighborhoods to rent in Gahanna?

So, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and The unemployment rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $322,300, which seems about average. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Should I be concerned? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Denver it's surprisingly good.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Minneapolis about 15 years ago. The main reasons were work and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are manageable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Greenfield. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely improving and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (South) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I work in marketing here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is excellent. No regrets on my end..
