Anyone else feel this way? I'm single, late 40s, and With a population of 144K, Gainesville is a mid-size city. You can expect to pay around $1,214 for rent here. Rent is about $1,214/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $235,000 on average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
