Anyone work in healthcare in Gaithersburg?

Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I wrong here?

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 14 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Meadowbrook. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in retail. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
