Galena Park vs Denver -which is better?

Curious what people think. I'm single, late 30s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Galena Park sits at 201.2 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Anyone in a similar situation? Looking forward to hearing from you all. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Riverside. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in real estate. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Asian.

No regrets on my end..
