How are the schools in Galt?

Longtime lurker here, My partner and I are Median household income is $86,327, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 4.4%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Should I be concerned? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 6 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is food scene. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if community vibe matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
