Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $294,300, which seems about average. With a population of 53,348, Galveston is a smaller city. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cheers. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
