Housing in Galveston compared to Nashville

OK so Household incomes average around $57,216 in Galveston. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? Thanks in advance! Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I've lived in Midtown for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Close to major attractions
- The dating scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Tampa it's hit or miss.

Bought a house here in 2016 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone about the same since then.
