How is the nightlife in Galveston?

Alright, I've been here for 19 years and Homes are going for about $294,300 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Is this normal for Galveston? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
