Planning a move to Galveston -neighborhoods?

Hey folks, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $57,216 in Galveston. It's a a smaller city city with about 53,348 people. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Would love some local perspective. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to.
