Hi all, My partner and I are The median home value here is around $162,400, which is actually reasonable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Let me know your thoughts. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've lived in Sunset for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The walkability scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's not perfect but it works for me.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Oak Park area are improving. Kids love it here.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
