Hi all, You can expect to pay around $991 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've lived in Riverside for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The outdoor recreation scene is solid
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..
