Alright, I'm single, late 30s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Garden City sits at 363.4 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Southern.
