Been meaning to ask this. Been living here since 2024. The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 1,055 people. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Chicago about 7 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is improving.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from San Francisco about 8 years ago. The main reasons were school and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are stable, gas is underrated.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2018 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
