OK so We're a young couple and Median household income is $60,694, which feels about average for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What neighborhoods would you suggest?

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Internet is decent in most areas.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

Used to live on the Riverside side, now on the Meadowbrook side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

I've lived in Westside for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The pet-friendliness scene is solid
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Springfield area are improving. Kids love it here.

I work in real estate here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is challenging. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:

- Strong job market in several industries
- The outdoor recreation scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..

Used to live on the Greenfield side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
