Hey everyone, I'm a teacher here and With a population of 12,130, Gardere is a small town. Poverty rate is 21.8%, which is higher than I expected. The median home value here is around $250,600, which seems about average. Rent is about $1,135/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
