Just moved to Garfield, any tips?

Hey folks, I'm single, late 40s, and Rent is about $1,612/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Should I be concerned? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The cost of living is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The traffic is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
