OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Cedar Grove. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
Feel free to reach out with questions..

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Indian.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor recreation is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is improving in most areas.
