Working remotely from Garland

Median household income is $74,717, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 9.5%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in Fairview for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- The walkability scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Feel free to reach out with questions..
