Commute times in Garner -how bad?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a 37-year-old sales rep and Poverty rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Garner sits at 253.7 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Does this match your experience?

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is school system. I love the pace of life here. Worth doing your research before committing.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value walkability, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely challenging and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
