Hi all, We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $122,800, which is actually reasonable. It's a a small town city with about 6,097 people. Homes are going for about $122,800 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'm a pharmacist and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is better than expected in most areas.
