Biggest downsides of living in Gastonia?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm originally from San Diego and With a population of 81,632, Gastonia is a smaller city. Median household income is $60,554, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $250,000, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $1,145/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thoughts? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
