Working in Gates Mills -salaries realistic?

First post here. I'm single, late 50s, and Rent is about $2,000/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 2,192 people. The median home value here is around $651,600, which is pretty steep. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Let me know your thoughts. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Nashville about 12 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are manageable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
