Thinking about relocating to Geneva from Dallas
Curious what people think. Been living here since 2010. The median home value here is around $140,300, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $140,300 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Geneva sits at 157.4 per 100K. With a population of 12,573, Geneva is a small town. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Worth the trade-offs? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
