Things that make Geneva unique

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Homes are going for about $764,500 on average. The city has invested a lot in new development. Is this normal for Geneva? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Austin about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Active local events and festivals
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'm a nurse and I've found the quality of life is solid. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Portland about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
