Rent in Genoa getting crazy

Curious what people think. Rent is about $1,004/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I overthinking this?

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much competitive but now it's underrated.
