Hi all, It's a a small town city with about 2,011 people. The median home value here is around $135,000, which is actually reasonable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Does this match your experience? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I've lived in Oak Park for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Active local events and festivals
- The food scene scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Bugs and humidity in summer
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..
