I'm a 52-year-old physical therapist and Household incomes average around $91,857 in Georgetown. It's a a smaller city city with about 78,803 people. Poverty rate is 5.3%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely better than expected and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Westside) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great craft beer places. it's been a really good experience overall.
